Goals

Review the experiences of different university programs involved in innovation, design, technology transfer and entrepreneurship in biomedical engineering education

Discuss objectives, challenges, and opportunities for further development of these programs – including industry and academic perspectives

Explore the potential for sharing resources and creating community- wide tools (e.g., web portal, national design contest, etc).

6/25/08 Meeting moves to Biennial Schedule At the 2007 meeting it was decided that BME-IDEA would move to an every-other-year schedule. Thus, the next meeting will be held in conjunction with the 2009 BMES meeting in Pittsburgh, PA in October, 2009. See you then!

10/9/07 Meeting Slides Posted. All slides from the 2007 BME-IDEA meeting are now available on the meeting page. Also, notes from the Global workshop are available.
