The goal of my project is to clone and characterize new positive regulators of stomata development. Using genetic and molecular biology tools I will identify at which stages during stomata formation these genes are required and will elucidate genetic interactions between them and known regulators of stomata development.

I will also investigate how the genetic information controlling stomata formation modulates the behavior of different organelles and endomembrane compartments within specific cells in the epidermis.
