I have been working on SPEECHLESS (SPCH), a bHLH protein required for the asymmetric divisions that allow entry into the stomatal lineage. I am looking at how the SPCH protein is regulated, what its partners are, and how, as a transcription factor, SPCH regulates downstream events.
