I study dynamic processes important for cell fate and pattern at two different scales. At the single cell level, I have been developing the tools to monitor asymmetrically localized proteins and to track their movement between subcellular compartments during development. At a broader spatial scale, I am taking a systems biology approach to look at dynamic gene expression profiles throughout the epidermis during stomatal development.
