Cell fate and pattern require the interplay of transcription factors and signaling components. I am looking at both elements in my studies of SPCH, a bHLH transcription factor that controls the asymmetric divisions leading to stomatal initiation. I am looking both at what SPCH regulates and how it is regulated.
