This detail is from a mural showing America and Sweden. This part shows the procession of Joe Hill (1879-1915), Swedish-born songwriter for Wobblies (International Workers of the World), judicially murdered; behind him a banner reads "Hay una fuerza que a la tierra conmueve !Solidaridad!" (There is a force that moves the earth, Solidarity!) To the left you can see the slave ships, one with the three crowns of the Swedisth monarcy and interlaced G's, to refer to King Gustav III (reigned 1771-92): the other with black slave emblem refer to Sir John Hawkins, English naval commandeer (1532-1595).
