Cheri Ross received her Ph.D. in English from Stanford, specializing
in Renaissance poetry and drama. Her research interests include
the plays of William Shakespeare and Ben Jonson as well as the work
of Virginia Woolf and the semiotics of natural history museums.
In 2001 Cheri won the Dinkelspiel Award for distinctive contributions
to undergraduate education at Stanford.
Edward Steidle

Edward Steidle joined the Stanford English faculty in 1984. His
area of specialization is medieval art and literature. He is currently
working on comparative approaches to the study of ancient European,
Asian, and Central American cultures. He also leads travel groups
to historical sites in Italy and the Aegean.
