STANFORD ARCHERY

The Stanford Archery Program offers FREE coaching and an introduction to archery for complete beginners (or more advance shooters) open only to the Stanford community. Coaching is provided by the most experienced archers on Stanford's nationally competitive team.

These practices are designed and intended for the complete beginner, but prior experience is more than welcome. Anyone affiliated with Stanford is cordially invited to sign up for a Beginner Practice. As the best means to show interest in the joining the team and starting the recruiting process, Beginner Practices are offered every Friday during Autumn quarter of the school year, and less frequently when the tournament season begins in Winter and Spring quarter. Generally, sign ups will open two days before the practice, and availability is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. Confirmed archers sometimes don't show up, so if you received an email saying a particular Beginner Practice is full, you may still show up and see if there's space, but no guarantee can be made. To receive email notifications and be the first to sign up, join the mailing list.

Archers of all ages and experience levels--from freshman to faculty--are welcome and encouraged to come. High quality Olympic-style equipment is provided for those who do not have their own.
