From: Blase Iuliano - BIuliano [at] LPCH.ORG The Stanford Alpine Journal is seeking submissions our next edition! --------------------- The Stanford Alpine Journal is a yearly publication of the Stanford Alpine Club. It is the record of interesting climbs and trips done by the Stanford Climbing community. Copies of the journal are usually distributed to every member of the Stanford community that requests one as long as stocks last. We had a slight glitch with the last Stanford Alpine Journal, and are making it available only as a pdf from: http://s-o.stanford.edu/sac/sac-journal-2007.pdf, but the next journal (June 2009) is planned to be printed in full color! The journal is planed to be ready for distribution in June 2009 and we are looking for the following types of submissions for trips done between September 2006 and September 2008:   1) Articles   We are seeking articles of between 1 to 5 single spaced pages of 11 pt font about memorable trips that you have taken. They can be on any subject that pertains to climbing or mountaineering. If you are interested in writing a full length article, please contact us with your article ideas.   2) Photographs   We welcome all interesting photo submissions of climbing, mountains, and activities. Please submit the full resolution digital images and they can either be in black and white or colour. We prefer lossless compression such as TIF but JPG are acceptable too.   Important notes: ----------------   1) All copyright for articles and photographs will remain with the authors and photographers.   2) Please submit all articles and trip reports as plain text (.txt) files. We prefer .txt to .doc (Microsoft Word) because it makes laying out the journal much easier. You can easily convert your Word documents into plain text by choosing the save as option and saving it as txt.     We look forward to receiving your submissions! So be sure to take your camera and paper to jot down notes as you have a memorable Thanksgiving trip story to add to next year’s journal!   Eu-Jin Goh and Blase Iuliano Stanford Alpine Journal Editors   Be sure save your copy of the journal: http://s-o.stanford.edu/sac/sac-journal-2007.pdf Note: the journal was made in 2007, but the article submissions were for Sept 2005-Sept 2006.
