October 13 (Monday), 7:30pm Sierra Nevada Slideshow Series - Mike Kerzhner and Jared Brown - Summer Fun

Over the past six months, they have been climbing a lot. Maybe even too much. They tried everything from 5.11 death routes in Tuolumne Meadows, 5.13+ sport in Tahoe, and V10 boulder problems in Bishop. And they even managed to finish a few of these climbs. Come to this slideshow to hear about surviving hard and dangerous climbs, about the greatest rope swing on the planet, and about drinking the best wine you can buy for $2.

October 15 (Wednesday) 5pm-dark informal trip to Handley Rock
Informal trip, organised by Clint.
Carpool from Tresidder at 5pm. If you want to join in, just show up at Tresidder parking lot (by the bus stop - see map) at 5pm, with your shoes and harness (a belay device also helpful, and a windbreaker and/or hat can sometimes be nice to have).
Handley Rock is a 35' sandstone rock in NW Redwood City, with several toprope routes in the 5.10 range, plus a few 5.6-5.9 and some 5.11s. Up to about 10 ropes can be set up so it's easy to get lots of climbs in. Conditions vary from hot/calm to cool/breezy.
These trips will run every Wednesday in October.
On last week's trip, 12 people joined in.
The trip will be cancelled by any rain in the previous 3 days (Monday-Wednesday). NOAA/NWS weather forecast
