Date: Thu, 29 Apr 2010 13:21:00 -0700 From: Sarah Inwood Subject: [SAC] Girls Can Crank: May 14-16 Lady rock warriors, mark your calendars: Spring's Girls Can Crank weekend is scheduled for May 14-16! The weekend is a chance for women climbers to get together, camp, climb, eat and be merry. You can get inspired by fellow exceptional female climbers, expand your circle of partners, and pick up female-specific tips and techniques. The schedule includes cragging on Saturday followed by a big, festive dinner (cake! champagne!); Sunday will be a chance to pair up for longer multipitch routes. Location: We'll go to either Yosemite Valley or Calaveras Dome based on interest, weather, etc. Other suggestions are welcome! Who? All women climbers are invited to attend. (Sorry boys.) All abilities are welcome; however, this is not an instructional trip. Please plan on showing up with the necessary gear (shoes, harness) and the ability to belay and climb. We plan to fine-tune the weekend based on the climbing level of the ladies interested. SAC membership is not required to attend but we hope you will become a SAC member if you are eligible; all Stanford affiliates are eligible. What next?
