In Stanford AKPsi, we embrace a theme of “Work Hard, Play Hard”. As a professional business fraternity, we learn together to develop professional skills as well as form great memories through fun activities. Below is a selection of our recent professional programs.
May 2011: WePay Consulting Case
While Pi Tau Consulting regularly serves non-profits in the region and provide value through their work, the consulting experience is also integrated into the pledge process. Partnering with one of our corporate sponsors, WePay, a select group of pledges conducted market research, delivered presentations, and executed expansion strategies in an intensive three-week process.
May 2011: BASES/SWIB Networking Session
Stanford’s campus features many other premier business organizations. To round up the year to discuss summer plans and network, members of the Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students, Stanford Women in Business, and Stanford AKPsi came together for a classy night of wine and cheese.
April 2011: Resume Workshop
AKPsi held a workshop to help students build professional-looking resumes.
March 2011: Etiquette Dinner
The Stanford Career Development Center hosted an Etiquette Dinner hosted by Sharyn Kennedy Amoroso, Cadet Hostess of the United States Military Academy with Stanford AKPsi rolling out to a night of being prim and proper.
February 2011: Princeton Review GMAT/GRE Session
Princeton Review and AKPsi partnered to host a review session for the GMAT and GRE. Many of our brothers use test prep to help them gain admission to the most prestigious graduate programs in the country.
February 2011: PBLI Case Competition
The Principled Business Leaders Institute is a wing of AKPsi that hosts an annual case competition. Our teams finished second in 2010 and third in 2011. The case topic this year was Google vs. Baidu in China, a hot topic especially for the many Google interns we have in our fraternity.
