Malene Gram, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at Allborg University, Denmark, where she is Head of Studies for Cross-Cultural Studies. She is interested in the child's and the young person’s voice in family affairs, in light of the sociology of childhood, seeing the child as in the middle of dichotomies of being both competent and vulnerable. Her husband, Henrik, will be attached to the Collaboratory for Research from Global Projects at Stanford (through Professor Raymond Levitt). She also has 3 sons, ages 8, 13, and 15, who will be attending school locally. She will be visiting October through December 2009.
