H.P. Jin co-founded TeleNav in 1999. TeleNav is the first company to launch a GPS navigation service on cell phones in the U.S. He led the company through the dot.com crisis and came out to become the leader in location based services in the world, with services covering North America, China, Europe and Brazil. TeleNav ranked top five among Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 in 2007 and 2008. HP is the recipient of the Entrepreneur of the year 2007 by HYSTA and the Most Inspiring Entrepreneur Award by (TiEcon, 2008). Prior to starting TeleNav, he worked at McKenna Group, McKinsey & Company, Loral Space and Communication.

H.P. holds a Ph.D. in Guidance, Navigation and Control (Aeronautics and Astronautics department), a Ph.D. minor in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science from the Harbin Institute of Technology in China.
