Communication Skills Workshop on Apr 15/29
The ACSSS Advising Program hosted two communication skills workshop on Apr. 15th and Apr. 29th. Dr. Freeland from the Center of Teaching and Learning(CTL) at Stanford was invited to lead the workshops and give guidance on the communication skills of Chinese students. The topic of the first workshop is “work on your voice”, which mainly focuses on Exercising on breath, relaxation, vocal control, and articulation. The topic for the second one is making formal presentations. About 40 students attended each session. In the second workshop, five students volunteered to present their academic researches and accept critiques from Dr. Freeland and other students. The photo can be found below:
There are two coming workshops in the rest of the quarter. One is about interview skills and the other is about debate. We hope that everybody can join us to learn from the experts and have fun in the workshops!
