Copper
Copper compounds are common in industrial situations. They are also used in anti-fouling paints on boats in the ocean.
You will need to make a serial dilution of the copper stock solution [1 gram of copper sulfate in 100 ml of seawater] [so starting at 1:100]

Set out 8 test tubes with 1/2 inch of each of the above. Then:
- Add one drop of concentrated eggs to each.
- Swirl and let sit for one minute.
- Add one drop of diluted sperm suspension and swirl briefly.
- Wait 5 minutes.
- Score eggs for fertilization. If time permits can also score for later development [Next period see if divided. Next day see if there are swimming blastula]
