The book of Genesis tells us that in eternity past, God had
a longing in His heart to be one with man for His full
expression (Genesis 1:26-27). God's desire and purpose became
the basis of His plan -- His economy (Ephesian 1:9).
The books of the New Testament unveil Christ's incarnation,
human living, death, and resurrection. In resurrection, He
became the life-giving Spirit (I Corinthians 15:45) to enter
His believers. Thus, God's goal in His economy is to dispense
Himself, as the Father in the Son through the Spirit, into His
chosen and redeemed people. This means that God desires to
dispense or to impart Himself into His people as their life,
their life supply, and their everything (John 3:16).
At the end of the Bible, the book of Revelation reveals that
the consummation of God's eternal economy is the New Jerusalem
which is the divine and human incorporation of God with His
regenerated, transformed, and glorified elect (Revelation 21:2).
