Science, Technology, and Society

Stanford's Seminar in Science, Technology, and Society features prominent speakers from around the nation addressing diverse themes such as the influence of information infrastructures on reputation and social justice, the assessment of emerging technologies, disaster response, and climate change.
Speakers typically speak for 30-40 minutes, followed by a brief comment and then open discussion. The seminar meets selected Fridays at noon in Encina Hall East (directions and map). Drinks and snacks are provided.
