The Myth of Scarcity

A lecture by Andrew Lewis, host of "The Andew Lewis Show"

One tenet of today's environmentalist dogma is that Man is consuming Earth's limited resources and is doomed to self annihilation.  Accordingly, environmentalists campaign againstover-population and the "rapacity" of capitalism.
Prophesying the end of the Earth didnot begin with modern environmentalism.  It began many centuries agoand all such prophecies have failed.  Why?  Are today's Malthusianenvironmentalists better informed than their predecessors, or are theymaking the same philosophical errors?
This lecture explains the basic fallaciesof the scarcity myth and explores the deeper motives of the environmentalistswho perpetuate it.  It explains why more people--under certain conditions--areessential to ending "scarcity," and why capitalism does not destroy resources--itcreates them.
