Elise is a senior majoring in political science. She has been involved with SIG since her freshman year. She is particularly interested in American politics and is currently writing an honors thesis on firefighters unions. Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, Elise likes spending time at the beach, hiking, and baking. On campus, she can be found wherever coffee is sold.

Programming, Vice Chair

Flora is a senior majoring in International Relations and is currently studying women’s rights and East Asian security through the Center for International Security and Cooperation Honors program. She has been involved with Stanford in Government since sophomore year, and has also worked as a Stanford in Government Fellow in China. She has lived in England, Taiwan and San Diego. When not obsessing over Coupa’s Tiger Spice Chai Tea Lattes, she enjoys creative writing, discussing politics and reading mysteries.

Fellowships, Vice Chair

Kyle, a junior from half an hour down El Camino in Sunnyvale, California, is majoring in public policy with a concentration in education policy, and hopes to help reform the quality and equality of education. This is his third year in the Fellowships branch of SIG, and he worked for the education reform organization StudentsFirst this summer on a SIG fellowship. Besides working with SiG, you can catch him walking backwards around campus as a tour guide or teaching debate and piano to kids in Redwood City.

Operations, Vice Chair

Jacob is a senior studying Classics and Philosophy. Drawing inspiration from time he spent studying in the hills of east Jerusalem and excavating at an archaeological site outside of Rome, he is writing a thesis about heritage property rights through the Ethics in Society Program. He likes to play guitar and write.

Public Policy Forum, Director

Pat is a senior studying political science and grew up in Chicago, IL. His research interests focus on the comparative institutional incentives and environments of elected chief executives, both in the United States and abroad. Other passions include composing music, hiking and camping, and Irish holidays.

Campus Community Partnerships, Director

Salil Dudani is a sophomore studying philosophy and public policy from Orange County, California. He is particularly interested in issues concerning public education reform and civic participation. Outside of SIG, Salil tutors and writes for the Stanford Review, and in his free time, Salil enjoys a hearty black bean burger and a competitive game of ping pong.

State/Local Fellowships, Director

Anisha Mudaliar is a sophomore planning on majoring in Public Policy with a focus on international development. She is passionate about social innovation and studying policies to advance economic opportunity in developing countries. In her free time, Anisha loves spending time by the ocean and watching sunsets, especially in her hometown San Diego.

After suffering a few crises of confidence, Crystal is a sophomore from Chino Hills, CA who no longer knows which major she’d like to pursue. That being said, however, she really likes learning about terrorism, nuclear weapons, and other things that go boom. In her free time, Crystal enjoys reading French literature, going out to lindy hop, and playing the piano.

International Fellowships, Director

Jessica is majoring in International Relations with minors in Spanish and Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity. She is interested in the Executive Branch of American government, particularly in the State Department, and is considering joining the Foreign Service. For fun, she enjoys the beach, photography, and going to concerts.

Expansion Planning, Vice Chair

Lina is a senior majoring in political science, and studies development and democracy in Egypt and China. She has been involved in SIG the past two years as director of Expansion Planning. Originally from Colombia, Lina grew up in South America and now lives in Houston.

Communications, Director

Stefan is a sophomore at Stanford majoring in Public Policy and minoring in Urban Studies. In addition to his work with SIG, Stefan serves as an executive officer for SOOP, an organization that takes at-risk youth from East Palo Alto on hiking and backpacking trips. Stefan spent this summer working in Ghana with the Department of Social Welfare on a SIG Stipend.

Anna is a senior from Davis, California majoring in Public Policy. She’s interested in international development and has spent time in India and Peru. She enjoys running, hiking, cooking, and learning new languages.
