Despite being in such close proximity for four years on The Farm, often the only way for students and professors to connect is in a course setting. What if the demands of your engineering major dictate that you take certain courses, but you really want a chance to learn about Iranian politics from an expert on campus? Or to learn about foreign oil dependency? SIG’s professor policy lunch series works as a facilitator for such interaction – students can meet professors and discuss their research over the course of a lunch, not an entire quarter’s worth of lecture.
