Stanford in Government hosts Kai Stinchcombe for a policy lunch: Wednesday, October 28 Old Union, Room 200 Noon-1pm

Born in Menlo Park, Kai Stinchcombe has been part of the Silicon Valley community for much of his life. He is currently running for State Assembly in California’s 21st District. If elected, he will be the only Silicon Valley entre- preneur, and the only representative of his generation in the Assembly. Pri- or to his bid, Mr. Stinchcombe was a PhD candidate in political science at Stanford, writing a dissertation on the California budget process. He is the founder and former executive direc- tor of the Roosevelt Institution, where he served on staff for two years. Be- fore founding the Roosevelt Institu- tion he was president of the Stanford Democrats during the 2004 election,    Lunch will be provided. the editor of the Stanford Progressive,  and a columnist and editorial board member of the Stanford Daily.
