"Big Speaker" 2009: Pervez Musharraf, Former President of Pakistan

Stanford in Government is bringing Former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf to campus as its annual Big Speaker on Friday, January 16th at 2:30pm in Memorial Auditorium.  Musharraf will speak on the subject "Terrorism and Extremism: The Need for a Holistic Approach."  The event will include a 45-minute open question and answer session moderated by Professor Scott Sagan.


Big Speaker is open only to Stanford students, faculty and staff.  Tickets may be picked up at the following times and locations:

  • White Plaza, Monday-Thursday, 12pm-1pm
  • Old Union, Monday-Thursday, 8:00pm-9:30pm
  • GCC, Monday-Thursday, 8:00pm-9:00pm

SUID is required to get a ticket.  SUID must also be presented at the door on the day of the event.  Doors open at 2:00 p.m. and close promptly at 2:25 p.m.  A very limited number of tickets may be distributed at the door to Stanford affiliates.  Absolutely no bags or backpacks will be allowed in the auditorium.
