Sexually Transmitted Diseases

SHPRC Counselors are trained to help students identify if they have been exposed to a sexually transmitted disease or are engaging in risky behavior. Counselors aid students in identifying symptoms associated with a variety of STDs and can provide infor mation on STD testing and STD prevention during future sexual activity. Free information sheets are available on a variety of sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV and students are encouraged to visit the SHPRC and pick up information sheets or ta lk with a counselor.

While self diagnosis is not encouraged, below is an interactive table on symptoms and disease. Students experiencing any of these symptoms are encouraged to visit the SHPRC for further information or to make an appointment with Cowell for testing.
