DisGo Cart Service
The SDRC operates the Disability Golf (DisGo) Cart service for all members of the Stanford community. It is open to anyone with a disability or medical condition that makes it difficult to travel about campus. The program is overseen by Carol Sutherland, and operated by Stanford students employed by the SDRC. DisGo is headquartered at the SDRC offices at 563 Salvatierra Walk.
This is a free service. Use of DisGo does not require medical documentaion.
The DisGo Cart service currently maintains two 4-seat golf carts and one wheelchair accessible cart.
We are currently in the process of creating an online ride request system. Until then, please make requests through the DisGo voice mail (see below).
Operational Details
- Rides are available starting the second week of each academic quarter *
- Available Monday through Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 5:10 p.m during the Academic Year
- Call DisGo's voice mail number, 650-725-2484 (5-CHUG), before 5:00 p.m. one business day in advance to schedule rides
- Leave the following information:
- full name
- phone number(s) where a message can be left
- exact times at which you will need rides
- pickup location and destination for each ride
- You will receive a confirmation call sometime later that night.
If you call after 5:00 p.m. and do not receive a confirmation call, do not expect rides.
Due to scheduling constraints, drivers are instructed to wait no more than five minutes past the pick up time. If you are not present for any ride, your remaining rides will be cancelled.
To cancel rides, please call 650-723-1066 and leave a message.
