| Jane, originally from West Hartford, CT, is entering her senior year at Yale University, where she is pursuing a major in history. She has worked for the ACLU researching school and housing segregation, and for a Connecticut nonprofit dedicated to improving health care access. She hopes to pursue a law degree and work for a public interest firm. | |

| Chris, a psychology major at Stanford University, is a native of San Antonio, Texas . Having recently completed his junior year, Chris specializes in the study of cultural psychology and race relations. In the future, he plans on attending law school with a career in corporate law. He has worked on a variety of psychological studies at Stanford including: an analysis of casino psychology and gambling, the phenomenon of email mimicry and electronic liking, as well as a comprehensive study on biracial and multicultural identity. | |

| Donelle is a senior African-American studies major at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Originally from Lynchburg, Virginia, she is particularly interested in social justice movements and African American history. However she has also studied the various cultures of the African Diaspora. After completing her undergraduate work, Donelle plans to pursue a Ph.D. in history or anthropology. She is currently working on a research project about the impact of Hip Hop on Afro-Cuban culture. Donelle is an avid traveler and is currently planning a semester abroad in Havana, Cuba. | |

| Joel was raised in Britton's Neck, South Carolina by two disabled parents and a tremendous community. He is currently a 5th year senior at Lawrence University with majors in both history and government and a minor in anthropology. He is very interested in African American history and has particular curiosity about the intellectual dimensions of Dr. King, Malcolm X, Tupac Shakur, Alice Walker, and Cornel West. Joel aspires to become an investment banker before attending law school. Oh yeah, he likes that Motown sound too! | |
