Chinese and American High School students perform excerpts of King play

Beijing -- Chinese and American high school performed excerpts from Passages of Martin Luther King, to packed auditorium of five hundred Chinese high school students at the Second Middle School (attached to Beijing Normal University).

The student actors, all juniors in high school, acted out key scenes from the Civil Rights Movement, including the Montgomery Bus Boycott, the sit campaigns, the Children's Crusade in Birmingham, and Vietnam War protests.

The presentation was the culmination of an academic year collaboration between the Second Middle School and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute at Stanford University.
