Stanford's sororities participate in new member recruitment during the spring of each year. In order to ensure that prospective members are introduced to all of our chapters and are able to make an informed decision about which chapter is best for them, all six ISC sororities participate in recruitment together.

attendance policy
Prospective new members must attend all nights of recruitment (except Absentee) in order to receive a bid. If you cannot attend one or more of the other nights due to a valid conflict (such as athletic event, illness, family, etc.), you MUST attend Absentee in order to participate in Recruitment. Your absence MUST be verified by a note from a coach, physician, or parent in order to be excused. Excuses are due by 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1 to the Recruitment Chairs at iscrecruitmentchairs@gmail.com. If you fail to attend a night of Recruitment without attending Absentee, you will be dropped from the process. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS.
Additionally, girls who attend Absentee night will have the option of writing one letter addressed to all of the chapters. The letter is completely optional, but will give you a chance to tell the chapters a little more about yourself and what you hope to gain out of joining a sorority. It should also explain why you are attending Absentee night. This letter should be sent to Joyce and Emily at iscrecruitmentchairs@gmail.com by Friday, April 3.
