EV Goes to Dim Sum Saturday, October 25th, 11:00am Golden Wok, Mountain View Ever wanted to try Chinese Dim Sum? Dim Sum is Cantonese cuisine that comes mainly in the form of steamed and fried dumplings containing a wide array of fillings. They are usually served in tiers of bamboo steamers or small to medium-sized plates so that many different varieties can be sampled. Long before the Spanish created tapas and the Americans discovered finger foods, the southern Chinese were gathering for tea and sampling savory morsels known as dim sum. Influenza Vaccine Clinics Influenze vaccine clinics will be held Wednesday afternoons at Vaden Health Center (formerly Cowell Student Health Service) at 866 Campus Drive from 3 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 22 and 29; Nov. 5, 12, 19 and 26; and Dec. 3. Influenza vaccines also will be available for employees and retirees only at Benefits Fairs scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 5 at Tresidder Union and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 7 at Fairchild Auditorium. University employees, including retirees, will not be charged for the vaccine and must show a Stanford ID. Spouses and domestic partners can receive the vaccine at Vaden Health Center for $20. The cost for students enrolled in Cardinal Care is $10. Cost for students and spouses and domestic partners is $20. The vaccine will not be given to individuals with severe colds or other infections or who have an allergy to eggs. Pregnant women will require medical clearance from an obstetrician.
