It is a program directed by the Red Cross in which they will teach you how to built a disaster kit, find shelter in the event of an emergency, and other valuable information. Winter Quarter General Ballroom Dance Classes Our Level I Intro to the NightClub Dances will cover Salsa, Hustle, West Coast Swing and Nightclub 2 Step from the basic steps. Put on your dance shoes and get ready to dance to top hits on today's radio stations! Kerry Kelly is back this quarter to teach this fun and upbeat class. Our Level II Survey of the American Rhythm Dances is an in-depth venture into the social latin dances (aka American Rhythm dances). Cha cha, rumba, bolero and east coast swing will be covered. This is a great opportunity, not only to learn patterns, but to develop a sound musical foundation for each dance. Renee Gallagher will be the instructor for this class. Our Level II Viennese Waltz, Slow Waltz, Polka is an excellent opportunity to prepare for this quarter's Viennese Ball! Learn to float and spin about the floor! In addition to Viennese Waltz, Slow Waltz and Polka, this class will also include the more fiery Tango. Prior dance experience is recommended, although quick learners will certainly enjoy this class. Shawne Neeper will be the instructor for this class. II. Advanced Salsa Class This winter, we will be offering a four-week advanced Salsa series taught by John Narvaez and Liz Rojas. John and Liz have placed 1st in a number of salsa competitions (including the MTV Telemundo salsa competition) and are the founders of the SalsaMania dance company. The series will be held in Roble Room 33 from 4-6pm on the following days: Feb 8th, Feb 15th, Feb 22nd and Feb 29th.
