The Education & Cultural Committee is run by your Community Associates and organizes discussions of topical issues, classes teaching useful skills, and outings to the Bay Area's diverse artistic, literary, musical and otherwise cultural offerings. Some examples include the EV Jazz Brunch (probably in spring quarter), classes (on cooking or self-defense, for example) and events such as readings and recitals, by both graduate and professional talent (for example, a graduate student open-mike night, and readings at Kepler's Bookstore). Mixed in will be some outings to film festivals, symphonies, concerts, plays and other shows. By joining on one of our outings, you'll get a great glimpse of the Bay Area's innumerable cultural treats and enjoy some first-class entertainment! Watch for announcements in the EV Newsletter.
