Seven of the eight teams from preliminaries chose to compete in playoffs. Congratulations to Rockin' Roble, who won the 2009 Fall Freshman Quiz League! Rockin' Roble, led by Zach H and rounded out by Tony T, Jake Z, and Dave S, was undefeated through the double elimination playoffs. Team member Adam J, who played in preliminaries, chose not to play in playoffs.

Runners up Dittoz (from FroSoCo), consisting of Firas A, Alex S, Jenelle W, Bryce C, and Svetlana L, lost twice in playoffs, both times to Rockin' Roble. Team members from preliminaries also include Justin L and Ruby L.

Both first and second place teams won trophies. In addition, the top tweleve individual scorers from preliminaries won books from the Stanford Bookstore.
