Undergraduate and Master's Research

Areas of Study:

Undergraduates and Master's students can participate in CCB research activities through thesis projects, directed research or part-time and summer jobs.

How to start a project with the CCB

The first step in starting a project is to talk to people at the CCB. The following are good contact people:

  • Carol Boggs, cboggs@stanford.edu
projects on invasive species or effects of environmental variation on population dynamics or life history
  • Alan Launer, aelauner@stanford.edu
conservation and biodiversity projects on the Stanford campus
  • Gretchen Daily, gdaily@stanford.edu
projects on environmental policy and countryside biogeography

Funding Suggestions

Many students pursuing honors theses at the CCB are funded by Stanford's Undergraduate Research Opportunities program, and students are encouraged to submit proposals whenever possible.
