Orion and
Gatsby
(formerly Orion and Altair)

ADOPTED TOGETHER 08/14/2001

"The first night they ran and ran and ran and ran and ran!! They were crazy!! They wrestled, played with balls and bonked into the mirrored closet doors (they know now they can't walk through mirrors).

Orion and Gatsby are now growing into sleek, handsome cats.

Maxwell and Schrodinger

(formerly Ember and Eve)

ADOPTED TOGETHER 07/26/01

"The kittens are doing great; after a week at our place, they've really settled in. I think they've almost doubled in size since we first saw them! They love running laps around the apartment and playing on the cat tree. Anyway, thanks again for all your help. The four of us are very happy!"

"When we first brought them home, they were pretty shy and liked to sleep together in their carrier, as you can see. But it didn't take them long to gain confidence, and they quickly decided the entire apartment belonged to them, especially the cat tree! Also, I saw that you have a picture of their mother, Emma, exploring the sink in the clinic. I thought I'd let you know that such curiosity must be genetic, since both Maxwell and Schrodinger have enjoyed curling up in our bathroom sink for a nap. It must be just the right shape!"

Seefur
Seefur

ADOPTED 07/20/2001

"SeeFur is so happy in her new home with me! She didn't even hide out like most cats do. She looked around the apartment then came right over to me for a little rub down. SeeFur enjoys having her back and her tummy rubbed. She'll do a complete roll over for me to obtain the maximum scratching session. She loves attention, but she is also happy to curl up by herself. She does not get on furniture unless I pat my hand for her to join me.

I cannot believe she was given up by her owners! She is so sweet, loving and well behaved. Their loss is my gain. Thank you again for taking care of her and keeping her from being destroyed. Stanford Cat Network is SeeFur's Guardian Angel. It would have been a great loss to have such a wonderful animal destroyed!"

Iris

ADOPTED 07/12/2001

"Iris is doing very well. She is fearless about everything. She wants to play with Sedona, but Sedona isn't too sure what this little fireball is all about yet. Sedona has been inching closer and closer every day, so I am hoping they will be friends soon.

What an appetite Iris has!!! I even catch her eating Sedona's food sometimes. She has a favorite toy and carries it around in her mouth...too cute!! I love her so much. She makes me laugh and smile all the time."

Zephyr

ADOPTED 06/30/2001

"Zephyr is doing GREAT - he's really getting along well with the kids at the learning center and has already made friends with Mauser, the youngest cat in the house. Zephyr is getting leggy already - growing like a weed."

Annabel with Polly
(formerly "Demeter")

ADOPTED 06/30/2001

Alison adopted Annabel the kitten to keep Polly company, the tabby and white cat she adopted from SCN earlier in the year. After a few days of growling, the girls became best friends!

"They love each other! I did the right thing by getting a second cat, and I am very happy."

You know it's love if she shares her window seat!

Snoopy
(formerly "Selene")

ADOPTED 06/30/2001

Snoopy is now the "little sister" of Charlie! Charlie is still a bit afraid of this little tyke, but he's gradually getting more curious about her.

Susie

ADOPTED 06/30/2001

Susie won the heart of a vet clinic staff member who took care of her while she was in boarding. Like most vet clinic staff, Marlon has to try to resist taking home every homeless animal who comes in to the clinic, but in this case he could not resists any longer, and Susie "adopted him".

Blossom

ADOPTED 06/26/2001

Antonia took Blossom home, she teaches autistic children, so she understood Blossom's shyness.

Antonia reports "It's wonderful having her here - when I come in at night and pet her for a while, it just seems to help a lot of the day's woes melt away".

Hope

ADOPTED 05/19/2001

Hope is now "sister" to Andromeda, and look what a happy kitty she is!

MORE photos of Hope!

Chelsea
(formerly "Faith")

ADOPTED 05/04/2001

Jan fell in love with shy Chelsea, and took her home to be a friend for her other cat who also started out shy. Jan knows how to be patient and win the love of a shy cat. She reports that Chelsea is now very playful and happy in her new home!

Mem and Chu

ADOPTED TOGETHER 05/11/2001

Brian and Sarah love black cats, and they adopted Mem and Chu who were waiting a long time for a new home.

Sarah says "Mem and Chu are doing very well. Mem weighs 15 pounds and is our most active cat - even when she sits still, her ears never stop moving. Chu weighs about 5 pounds and is very long (we call her "tube cat"). She is extremely athletic. They both love to play and will run around the house chasing each other. Chu likes to chase Sasha around the house; I don't know how Sasha feels about it, but I think it's good for them both.

Polly
(formerly "Pushke")

ADOPTED 04/26/2001

Alison adopted Polly, who walked in and took over the house as soon as she went home!

Polly now has a new "little sister" see "Annabel"!
