Congratulations to Asian American Awards 2001 Recipients

Tito Gervacio, Lucino A. Hidalgo, Marie Lynette C. Tadena, and Rosenna Yau

Stanford Asian American Awards 2001 was organized by the Asian American Activities Center (A3C) Advisory Board, which has served as an advocacy board for the Asian, Asian American and larger Stanford communities. Since its inception in 1990, the Board has consistently promoted a greater awareness about Asian American students at Stanford and has assisted the A3C in serving students more effectively. This Board has aided the Asian American community by urging the Stanford administration to grant much-needed resources in a variety of areas. In past years, the Advisory Board has established programs such as the Asian American Interactive Mentoring (AIM) Program and other programs that link students, staff, faculty, and alumni/ae.

This award ceremony gathers members of the Stanford Asian American community and recognizes individuals for their tremendous service, achievement, and dedication. Award recipients were selected from a wide variety of constituencies throughout the Stanford community.
