Carlos Cabrera
Carlos has been involved in Civil Engineering at Stanford for six years. Now that he has completed his Master's degree in Structural Engineering, he is leaving the country to explore engineering opportunities in Latin America. His research has been in structural health monitoring, sensors, building information modeling, and software development, but he also enjoys surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and music. He's organizing some fun events, so come hang out with your fellow CEE's this quarter!
Nirmal is a doctoral student in the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and a master’s student in the department of Statistics. He is interested in modeling ground motions and in assessing seismic risk of infrastructure systems. His hobbies include tennis, volley ball, table tennis, Carnatic music and salsa.
Ting Lin
Ting fell in love with ASCE as a freshman and became an officer in her second year of college at Cornell. She had tons of fun and often got inspired going to ASCE activities as well as regional and national conferences. Loving civil engineering way too much, she opted for more school upon graduation to pile higher and deeper here at Stanford. Her research focuses on ground motion selection approaches for structural analysis and building design codes. She enjoys art, music, sports and life in general.
