Rush 2007-2008
Welcome to the APO Website. The Rush page and Calendar have been updated to provide all the necessary information you'll need to acquaint yourself with APO. Check out the links on the top menu bar - Rush and Calendar to see for yourself!
Currently we are working on some projects such as:
- SPOON, a Stanford-backed initiative where we gather food and funds to cook breakfast for the homeless and distribute at the Palo Alto Transit Center.
- Sacred Heart (San Jose), an organization that helps provide food and clothing to needy families in San Jose. We'll be packing food bags for distribution every month or two weeks.
- International Penpal Project, where we write to orphans in South Africa
- Opportunity Center, a place where you can tutor and play with kids that meets weekly with core members Jennifer Perry and Ozzie Othman
- College Mentoring, helping local high school students complete applications, essays, and all that good stuff
- Volunteering for conferences, fundraisers, and other wonderful events!
We are also going to Fall Sectionals, a large conference of the local APO chapters on October 20. If you have friends pledging or who are already members of any APO chapter in Region X Section 4, you might see them there! Register online at http://www.calaphio.com/sectionals by October 6 to save money!
Regionals is also happening this year from Jan 3-6, an even larger gathering of APO chapters across California. It will be happening at San Diego's Rho Pi Chapter. Contact any officer if you're interested to sign up :)

New Tech Chair, Updates
As your new Tech Chair, I've been doing some things to the website. You'll find:
1) Pics link has been restored and I have put up the old pictures and Amy's pictures
2) Background has been changed
3) Banner has been changed.

~ The site needs profiles for all actives. I probably won't get to actually putting them on the site until spring break, heh, but we should still start. And by start, I mean figuring out what should even go on the profiles.
