Dear Sorors and friends of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Xi Beta Chapter,

Welcome to our website!!! We are honored that you would visit us and take the time to learn about our national organization, our chapter, and our members – both past and present.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is an exemplary organization founded on a legacy of sisterhood, scholarship, and service. We were the first African-American interest sorority founded in the United States on the campus of Howard University in January of 1908. This year, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is proudly celebrating its 100th anniversary.  Since our inception in 1908, we have responded to the world's increasing complexity by empowering communities through our service initiatives and progressive programs.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Xi Beta Chapter continues to uphold the wonderful legacy of our illustrious organization.  Since our chartering in 1981, we have been active within the Stanford community. We have hosted numerous community service, educational, and social programs in order to improve the social stature of people both within and outside of the Stanford community.

Under the leadership of our current Supreme Basileus, Barbara A. McKinzie, Alpha Kappa Alpha will embark on a journey towards economic empowerment for African-Americans, particularly African-American women. Our chapter will align with this vision through our many programs throughout this year.

Again, thank you for visiting our website and we hope to see you at our programs!

Sincerely,

Marissa A. McGee
