Description of Cife iRoom components:

Cife iRoom provides a workspace for multiple computer displays and input devices which are simultaneously visible, linked and  usable by one or more users.

Hardware configuration of the room is as follows:

• 4 Pentium III 866Mhz DELL desktops running Windows 2000 
• 3 smartboards and projectors
• Wireless keyboard and mouse 

The software components of the room are:

One of the desktops is configured as a web server. It hosts the following software:

• The event heap server

• Pointright server

• Apache tomcat 

3 other desktops are used to drive the smartboards and projectors and contain the following:

• Event heap client

• Cife Application Suite which contains:

  • 4D Viewer

  • Data viewers

  • Date controller

  • MS Project listener

  • Excel Listener

• One of the desktop from the above 3 is used to host the XML database and it runs tomcat to provide a web interface for the database.
