Brown Bag Seminars

Each quarter (except Summer), the WorkLife Office presents a variety of free workshops for the Stanford community. Workshops are open to students, faculty and staff and their spouses/significant others. The seminars are on a wide range of topics in the areas of work/life balance, parenting, and elder care.

Personal Assistance and Problem Solving

Taking care of oneself is the first step to healthy, productive living. When stressed and overwhelmed, even the smallest task can seem impossible. Let us help. Through providing resources or one-on-one appointments, WorkLife staff can help you tackle life’s obstacles and envision a new path.

Active Aging/Living Well

Whether you're setting off on a weekend hike, searching for a yoga class or planning for your retirement, WorkLife supports active aging by providing Brown Bags on these topics, as well as, articles and access to aging resources. Every other year, WorkLife provides a PrimeTime Fair, offering information on resources to the 50+ community.

Career Development (Transitions and Return to Work)

Balancing one’s work demands with family and personal needs, can be very challenging. The WorkLife Office participates in professional organizations that address these issues and can provide resources to help during times of struggle or change. Also, changing careers or returning to work after having a child or other reason can present new challenges and require extra support. WorkLife staff are available for one-on-one appointments to help you problem-solve these challenges.
