The Child Care Subsidy Grant program (CCSG) provides a grant of up to $5,000 a year to qualified university employees with children under ten years of age. The purpose of the grant is to assist Stanford faculty and staff in meeting the cost of child care. The WorkLife Office determines your eligibility for a child care grant based on your application.

The Dependent Day care account is a Flexible Spending Account provided by ADP FlexDirect through Stanford Benefits. This account allows you to set aside a portion of your before-tax pay to reimburse eligible dependent day care expenses. Visit Benefits for more information about this program or Flexible Spending Accounts
The Faculty Child Care Assistance Program (FCCAP) is an expansion of the Junior Faculty Child Care Assistance Program instituted in 2007. Provost Etchemendy has said, “Expanding the child care assistance program is another step in ensuring that a faculty career at Stanford is a family friendly career.”
Stanford University offers junior faculty a taxable grant for qualified dependent care expenses incurred when traveling to attend professional meetings, conferences, workshops and professional development opportunities, or to conduct approved research or scholarship. The grant provides full compensation for reasonable and approved expenses, up to a maximum of $1000 post tax per year.
The WorkLife Office provides information, resource and referral on adoption in the Bay Area. For Stanford University employees there is an Adoption Reimbursement program to help parents afford adoption. During the month of November, The WorkLife Office sponsors a university –wide Adoption Awareness month, with an activities calendar, adoption events and Brown Bag workshops presented by lawyers, social workers and agencies.
