Whether you're setting off on a weekend hike, searching for a yoga class or planning for your retirement, WorkLife supports active aging by providing Brown Bags on these topics, as well as, articles and access to aging resources. Every other year, WorkLife provides a PrimeTime Fair, offering information on resources to the 50+ community.

Avenidas Resources

WorkLife contracts with Avenidas Senior Center to provide resource and referral, as well as a Caregiver's Support Group  to Stanford affiliates. For Stanford employees, Avenidas offers a discount on consultation with a social worker and tickets to conferences for caregiving and housing. Call 723-2660 for more information.

Brown Bag Seminars

Each quarter, WorkLife provides Brown Bag seminars to support the community in navigating the demands of work and life. Since January 2010, through a collaboration with BeWell, Stanford Employees can receive one Healthy Living Berry for attending WorkLife Brown Bag.

Emergency and Back Up Care

Even the best planned elder care arrangements can be disrupted from time to time. Whether it’s a sick elder or a suddenly unavailable provider (due to illness or vacation), emergency care situations can be frustrating and difficult to deal with. Stanford recognizes these concerns and offers and Emergency and Back-up Child & Elder Care program that is administered through ACI Specialty Benefits, formerly Leverage Life.
