Using Our Digital Image Collection

Accessing Images

Access our digital ImageBase here, or through the drop-down link under "Our Collection." The  ImageBase is accessible to Stanford faculty and students only. You must have a valid SUNet ID to access the ImageBase.

Our Imagebase has been experiencing technical difficulties at times. If you attempt to access the Imagebase and are unable to do so, please try the Backup Imagebase.

We have created a Quick Guide to Using the Imagebase which should get you started in your search for images, image information, and artist information.

Using LCD Projector in Cummings

In AR2, AR4, and Annenberg, you connect to the LCD projector through the podium. You can borrow a standard VGA cable from the VRC; we also have several Mac adapters. You may also use DVI cables and connections in Cummings. SFSU has created a guide on how to use a LCD projector.

Requesting Online Study Sets

Each quarter, the VRC places images online for select courses. These are organized by department in our Imagebase. Professors should pull the slides that they want digitized, and organize them into the sets they would like to see appear on-line. These slides can then be given to the VRC staff for digitization and cataloguing.
