The Hoover Tower Observation Platform will be closed to the public on April 28th and 29th, 2008.

We are no longer accepting reservations for group tours during the Spring Quarter. Group tours will be available again beginning June 23, 2008, and continuing throughout the summer.

The Visitor Parking lot behind Memorial Auditorium will be closed on Monday, April 28, 2008.  During this time, visitors may feel free to park in designated visitor spaces in the Track House Lot, or in visitor parking spots near the Ford Center and Burnham Pavilion.

Please feel free to contact the campus Visitor Center at 650.723.2560 with any questions.

The Stanford campus offers a wealth of sightseeing and educational opportunities. Visit our historic Main Quad with its distinct Richardsonian Romanesque and California Mission Revival architecture or see our new Science and Engineering Quad, which beautifully incorporates modern and technological elements with timeless, elegant aesthetics and an abundance of outdoor space.

Art enthusiasts will enjoy touring the galleries of our Cantor Center for the Visual Arts, strolling through the Rodin Sculpture Garden, visiting the student art gallery or walking around campus to view our 42 freestanding outdoor sculptures.

If you are interested in history, visit the collection on the Stanford family and University history in the Cantor Center or venture out to our Historic Red Barn. Constructed in 1878-79, the Red Barn is one of the few surviving structures on campus that predates the University’s establishment and is a Registered Historical Landmark.

Sports aficionados should visit our premier athletic facilities such as the Avery Aquatic Center, Cobb Track and Angell Field, and our Athletic Hall of Fame. Also, you can picnic in the Oval, hike in the Stanford Foothills, walk, bike or run on miles of scenic paths, or enjoy our Cactus Garden, featuring more than 500 cacti.
