Boothe Committee
Each fellow will be expected to serve at least once per year on the Boothe Prize and Publication Committee which offers fellows the opportunity to select and edit the papers for the Boothe publication. The Boothe Prize recognizes and rewards outstanding expository and argumentative writing by first-year students in the PWR, SLE and IHUM Programs. One first-place and one honorable mention prize are awarded to outstanding essays from each academic quarter at an annual award ceremony in May.
In addition, volunteers are welcome to help with the actual Boothe publication. This involves learning aspects of journal editing from guiding author revisions (minor) to publication design, page-layout, and copy-editing. If you are interested in helping with the final editing and lay-out of the Boothe publication please contact Parna Sengupta at (650) 725-3984 or at parnas@stanford.edu.

Research Colloquium Committee
While we regularly share pedagogic strategies in the course of the IHUM program, the annual IHUM Research Colloquium presents a unique opportunity to engage with one another’s scholarly work. The colloquium features a wide-ranging, provocative and theoretically sophisticated set of panels that reflect the intellectual heterogeneity of IHUM post-doctoral fellows. Ultimately, the colloquium is geared towards deepening our understanding of the fundamental questions that inform humanistic inquiry and method.
The Research Colloquium Committee offers fellows the opportunity to help design and shape the annual colloquium. Members of the RCC are responsible for soliciting papers, working with faculty discussants, thematizing the panel presentations, and advertising the colloquium. The RCC offers invaluable experience in how to plan and organize academic conferences and workshops. If you are interested in participating in the Research Community Committee, please contact Parna Sengupta at (650) 725-3984 or at parnas@stanford.edu.
