Boothe Committee
The Boothe Prize and Publication committee offers fellows the opportunity to serve on the prize jury, and edit the Boothe publication. Volunteers on the IHUM Boothe committee are able to work with the finest essays to come out of fall, winter, and spring IHUM courses, and coordinate our work on IHUM prizes and publication with the fine work of our PWR colleagues. Fellows on this committee are especially invited to attend, and see their name featured in the publication that is part of the annual spring Boothe Prize ceremony and celebration. The experience serving on a prize committee, and learning all aspects of journal editing from guiding author revisions (minor) to publication design, page-layout, and copy-editing can be added to a robust scholarly and committee profile of a fellow’s CV.
Time commitment: It is anticipated that service on the Boothe committee will include two full-committee meetings in the fall, a minimum of one jury prize meeting in the year, and a minimum of five to ten hours of editing in early spring quarter.

For more information about course coordinators see the Course Coordinator job description.
Research Community Committee
The RCC offers fellows the opportunity to make IHUM research presentations a vital part of their productivity and professional development while holding an IHUM fellowship. Volunteers on the RCC can shape their ideal research community among IHUM Fellows and/or among Fellows and other Stanford post-doctoral researchers and faculty. This committee also shapes the forums for research presentations that build scholarly connections and robust CVs.
The Research Community Committee will hold its fourth annual IHUM Fellows' Research Colloquium on April 18, 2008. This day-long event features thematically-organized interdisciplinary panels that showcase the Fellows' most recent scholarly work. The committee organizes this annual celebration of the Fellows' scholarship and recruits Stanford faculty to act as respondents for each panel.Time commitment: It is anticipated that service on the RCC will include two full-committee meetings per quarter, and flexibly scheduled time necessary to thematize, solicit, schedule, advertise, and attend RCC research events.
If you are interested in participating in the Research Community Committee, please contact Phaedra Bell at (650) 725-3984 or at phaedra@stanford.edu.
