IHUM Fellow: Zena Meadowsong  

Zena MeadowsongZena holds a B.A. in English Literature from Princeton University, and received her M.A. and Ph.D. in English from Stanford.  Her research focuses on the relationship between the historical process of mechanization and narrative innovation in nineteenth and twentieth-century fiction.  Zena has recently published essays on the mechanical deformation of narrative realism in the nineteenth-century naturalist novel, and is currently at work on a book project, Mechanization and the Making of the Modern Novel: Naturalism, Modernism, Postmodernism.
