
Jelena Batinic received her Ph.D. in East European history from Stanford. She also holds two master’s degrees, in women’s studies and history, from the Ohio State University, and a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the University of Belgrade. Her research interests include war and society, gender and revolution, and nationalism. She is currently completing a book project on the mobilization of women in the Yugoslav Resistance during World War II. In addition to IHUM, she has taught courses in Stanford’s Department of History.
