The Lunsford Oral Presentation of Research Award
On This Page:
The Lunsford Oral Presentation of Research Award recognizes the innovative multimedia presentations that students create in their PWR 2 classes. While there are many opportunities on campus for students to be rewarded for their writing, the Lunsford award recognizes dynamic presentations that effectively blend research and multimedia elements with a strong oral delivery. The Lunsford award thus emphasizes excellence and innovation in presentation as well as strong research, mirroring the complexity of the projects students develop in PWR 2.
Nominations are submitted on a quarterly basis. Starting in the 2009-2010 academic year, there have been two winners per quarter for each award, and all winners and nominees are invited to an awards ceremony in May. Winners receive a cash award and a gift from the instructor who nominated them.
