Winter 2012 schedule--coming soon
The Hume Writing Center, The Program in Writing and Rhetoric, and the Creative Writing Program this free workshop series open to all students from all majors. Come study the Art of Writing in intensive, fun, hands-on workshops with the dynamic faculty of the Creative Writing Program. You’ll leave with an expanded understanding of writing and a sheaf full of pages. Sessions meet on Mondays in the Hume Writing Center (Bldg 460, Room 020).
Project W.R.I.T.E., now in its ninth year, is an outreach program to help high school students get excited about writing. We bring students from East Palo Alto high schools to campus for Saturday morning writing workshops usually held in Winter term. Parents' weekend. Please visit our Project W.R.I.T.E. page for more information.
Join Stanford students, faculty, and visiting parents for dessert and enjoy an evening of lively, thoughtful poetry and prose at Stanford's Hume Writing Center. Come listen and, if you wish, share a short piece of your own writing (bring a poem, short story, brief essay, even a song to the reading). Brothers and sisters are welcome to participate, too.
The Stanford Writing Center holds the Admit Weekend "Open Mic" every spring to welcome Stanford admits. Admits and all members of the Stanford community are invited to read on subjects of their own choosing. No advance sign-up is required.
In the "How I Write" series, brought to you by Hilton Obenzinger and Continuing Studies, prominent Stanford writers and researchers discuss their writing process.
